My little brother rang me last night. So what? I hear you say. But this is a first!

He has to write a short story for school and didn't know where to start - so Gail obviously said 'Ring Susan'. So he did. It was kind of cute. Hope his story works out OK.

In other news do yourselves a favour - go and buy a copy of 'The Book Thief' by Markus Zusak. I cried my way through the last chapter.

Last night hit a cafe with notebooks and pens - a profitable hour and a half later I'd cleared up some of my novel plot structure issues that I was having - feeling pretty good about that.

AND Rjurik from CS05 won a Ditmar over the weekend along with Shane, Sean and the CS05 organising team. Wish I'd been there.

Back from a couple of days in downtown Berry.

I spent the entire weekend procrastinating about writing (although I did pick up a fine book call 'The Book Thief' go buy it) then on Monday morning words starting leaking out of my fingertips and onto paper.

Then I got home and turned on the computer to type them in, add them to the end of my MS when suddenly I worked out that my plot was all murky and needed clarification, reordering and amending to make the entirity work. Damnit why isn't this easier?
