A recent review of Shadowed Realms 'Redback edition' by Nicole Murphy on the Asif! website has the following to say:
“The Last Bulkhead”, by Susan Wardle, is one of those wonderful stories where reality isn’t clear until the end, but the characters are so compelling that you have to keep reading. It’s a very dark, terrible, horrible story and the end will have you wishing you hadn’t read it. Just what a horror story should be.
I'm into the end throws of the first manuscript of my YA novel. Am planning to print up a copy and put it into my holiday bag for rereading by the pool over the next two weeks. I still need to pen the whole wrap up, explanations of the unexplained and do a full edit as some of it is words on paper, not smoothly flowing prose.

That'd be throes, Susan. 'Throws' is those crocheted rugs you throw on your couch. 'Throes' is those squirms and spasms you go through just before dying.
Your loving teacher,
Margo.
Damnit - where was I when they were handing out dictionaries?
Thanks Margo
From a squirming and spasming Susan.
