In a sudden spurt of productivity (brought on by an impending Thorbies deadline) I've written 1,000 words each night for the last three. Oh yes, put the pressure on and I can perform.
Slightly less happily I've decided my short story is (despite 4500 words) not on the page and not really dealing with the major thematic issues. Which is a bummer. So despite having flogged myself to get it to feedback group - I'll probably hold off another month to give the ideas more time to gel in my head.
Back to novel next week.
I've also (in a rush of blood to the head) rung Macquarie University and made enquiries about Post Graduate Diplomas in Creative Writing - perhaps even Masters. We shall see.
