It's bigger than I anticipated.
My novel that is.
I've just printed it up in its entirity and its just under 50,000 words. I thought first draft would be 45,000 and second draft around the 50,000 mark. This is good. It will therefore probably end up growing by at least another 5,000 words in rewrites.
Yes a small novel - but hopefully of sufficient size for a first and for a young adult novel.
I can try for a 300,000 plus trilogy epic another time.
