8 June 2003, Siem Reap, Cambodia
Homeward Bound
We have been to the markets and made our last purchases. The bags are packed. The fan is cycling slowly...... it's time to go!
On our way to the airport a brief stop to give blood at the Children's Hospital and then the Bangkok / Sydney shuffle.
It's been great, wonderful, eye opening, sad, happy, contemplative.
I'm looking forward to being home. Fluffly towels, constant water pressure, dairy products, a soft pillow, cooler temperatures.....
I'll miss the Khmer smile, the sense of adventure, the incredible sights from the temples of Angkor to the floating villages on the Tonle Sap.
I'm hoping to see you all soon and fill you in on the rest of the holiday details - and catch up with all of you and what's been happening in my absences.
