The partner of a friend of mine has just been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Diagnosed and straight into hospital for chemotherapy. He's about my age, they have a gorgeous two and a half year old daughter and live in Melbourne. Currently trying to reorganise my schedule to get down there and give Julia a hug.

What an absolute bummer.
