The South Coast was great. We got the painting done - and while I didn't get out on the Basin with the Kayak it was lovely just to be down there.

Last night I got together with Terry Dowling for a writing mentor session. We seem to agree that overall my technique and characterisation has improved - but my stories are still too linear. As always it got my brain turning in circles - twisting ideas I'm working on around and trying to see where I can add a new or different spin.

It was also an excuse to catch up and chew the fat pre Clarion (Terry was a tutor last year). Over a bottle of pink champagne and Indian we had a rambling conversation that roamed from books, movies, computer games and writing to Mr Squiggle and all sorts of stuff in between - was great fun!
